Have you ever felt called to walk alongside others as they explore their relationship with God?

Senior leaders from church schools across the North West gathered at Manchester Cathedral to celebrate the completion of the Christian Leadership Course 2025–26.

Bishop David visited one of the Diocese of Manchester’s Ministers in Secular Employment (MSEs), the Rev Debs Crossland, in her workplace.

There was a sense of joy and celebration in Manchester city centre this weekend as candidates gathered for the Petertide ordination services.

We are looking forward to gathering for this weekend’s ordinations of Deacons and Priests, when a total of 31 people will be ordained in our diocese – 10 as deacons and 21 as priests.

Clergy and lay leaders gathered at The Hayes Conference Centre for three days of reflection, fellowship, and learning, exploring the rhythm of prayer and mission in leadership today.

At Diocesan Synod, Bishop David shared his presidential address which underlines the importance of long-term planning, praises the ministry of our parishes, and encourages the Church to serve the wider community with courage.

This week has seen the beginning of the annual Archdeacons’ Visitation Services where newly elected churchwardens are formally admitted to office.
