CHURCH CALENDAR
Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come is an annual, worldwide prayer movement that invites Christians everywhere to pray for more people to come to know Jesus.
Launched by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, this ecumenical initiative runs from Ascension Day to Pentecost, uniting the global Church across traditions and denominations in prayer and mission.
When is it?
Thy Kingdom Come runs from Ascension Day to Pentecost.
What’s it All About?
Every person, household, and church is invited to take part—praying in their own way and in their own context. The heart of the movement is simple:
That more people might hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and respond to His love.
Everyone is encouraged to:
- Pray for five people they know to come to faith in Jesus
- Engage in prayer and mission in their local contexts
- Join with Christians across the world in this season of unity, purpose, and spiritual renewal
Why It Matters
In a time when the world feels uncertain, the need for the transforming power and mercy of God is as urgent as ever. TKC invites us to partner with God—to pray for friends, neighbours, family, and colleagues to encounter Christ for themselves.
Since it began in 2016, Thy Kingdom Come has grown into a movement involving over a million Christians, across 85 denominations in 90% of countries worldwide.
