Our parishes are blessed with committed and diligent church officers who give so much of their time and talents to our mission. From our treasurers who manage parish finances to our parish safeguarding officers who help to ensure our churches are safe places for all, our church officers are essential to parish life. When I think of the ways in which our church officers use their talents to support our mission I am reminded of Peter’s words, "As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace" (1 Pt 4:10). As Christians, we receive God's gifts gratefully, use them dutifully, and share them lovingly with others. Having a team of trusted, committed and loyal church officers is one of the many joys of ministry, offering practical and pastoral support as we work together to serve our parishes. To assist you in your role, these webpages offer useful resources including interviews with fellow church officers, guidance and documentation.
