One of the many things that makes the Diocese of Manchester such a vibrant and welcoming place to live and worship is the rich diversity of our communities and churches. The upcoming Intercultural Kingdom Celebration is an opportunity to come together and celebrate this gift.
Taking place on Saturday, 15 November 2025, at St Cross Church, Clayton, this all-day conference will bring together people from across the diocese for a day of worship, teaching, and hospitality. Inspired by the vision in the Book of Revelation where all nations gather in the presence of God, the event will invite us to embrace cultural diversity and deepen relationships across our church communities.
The keynote speaker for the day is The Rt Revd Saju Muthalaly, Bishop of Loughborough, who has oversight for the Intercultural Worshipping Communities programme in the Diocese of Leicester. The programme helps Christians from Global Majority Heritage backgrounds feel welcomed and enabled in the life of the Church.
The day will also feature:
- A panel discussion and Q&A
- Seminars and small group conversations
- An international lunch featuring cuisines from around the world
- Vibrant intercultural worship
- Practical ideas for inclusive ministry.
If you’d like to attend, please speak to your vicar, churchwarden, or another member of your parish leadership team, who can provide more information.
