Safeguarding Training

The National Church has responded to the Covid 19 pandemic by modifying the training to allow it to be delivered online and via Zoom. All face to face training has been suspended for the foreseeable future. The training modules that are available online are the Basic Awareness and the Foundation. These are required to be completed for most roles, including anyone in a role which involves work with children, young people, or vulnerable adults, Churchwardens and PCC Members. Therefore if you have not yet done so, we would encourage you to complete these courses as soon as possible, you can access the training here. If you experience any problems with the registration process, please contact elearning@safeguardingtraining.cofeportal.org as the training website is not managed by the Diocese of Manchester.

The Safeguarding Leadership Training module is for those who play a lead role in shaping the culture of the Church body. This will always include clergy, Readers and Parish Safeguarding Officers. This module is also available via Zoom. Clergy training will take place in early 2022, and Parish Safeguarding Officer training will be prioritised once the clergy training has been completed. If you have any queries or concerns please contact safeguardingtraining@manchester.anglican.org
