The Parish Safeguarding Dashboard is a simple-to-use, online tool that helps you to keep track of safeguarding in your church. It provides reassurance that you are staying up-to-date with local and national changes in safeguarding requirements and demonstrating due regard to the House of Bishops' Guidance and Safeguarding Code of Practice.
Manchester Diocese has invested in the Parish Safeguarding Dashboard to make it easier to manage church safeguarding. It is now available free of charge to all parishes. Parish Safeguarding Dashboards were designed with the help of both Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs) and Incumbents in a wide range of parishes (both large and small). They are now being used by over 7,00 parishes across the Church of England in 80% of dioceses. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
The dashboard is easy to use on a smartphone, tablet or computer. Green lights give you the assurance that you are complying with the most up-to-date national safeguarding guidance and policies. Amber and red lights highlight any outstanding actions. It will even produce a Safeguarding Action Plan for discussion and approval by the PCC (this has been a requirement since 2017). Emails are being sent out with an invitation to register, if you have not received an email, contact safeguarding@manchester.anglican.org
