The Venerable David Sharples is to retire as Archdeacon of Rochdale. His last day in office will be 31st March 2024.
The Revd Adam Robertson, currently of Curate of The Good Shepherd and St Barnabas, Manchester, has been appointed as Incumbent of St Ann, Manchester Benefice.
The Revd Matthew Carlisle, currently of St. James, Gatley in the Diocese of Chester has been appointed as Incumbent of St Mary’s Davyhulme and Assistant Curate of St Clement’s, Urmston.
The Revd Robert Airey will retire as OLM in Holcombe and Hawkshaw Benefice.
The Revd Canon Sharon Ann Jones will retire as Team Rector in the Saddleworth Benefice.
The Revd Paul Sanderson will retire as Incumbent of St Stephens, Elton Benefice and Associate Priest of Kirklees Valley Benefice.
The Revd Pamela Manley will retire as OLM of Hope, St James and Pendlebury, St John Benefice. Her last day in office will be 26th January 2024.
The Reverend Canon Nigel Ashworth has resigned as Residentiary Canon of the Cathedral Church of Manchester.
The Reverend Canon Dr Ian Jorysz, currently Senior Chaplain to the Bishop of Manchester, has been appointed Canon Precentor at Manchester Cathedral.
By invitation of Bishop David in consultation with Dean Rogers, Canon Barbara Taylor has accepted an invitation to be installed into the Order of William Temple.
