The Revd Amy Cornell, currently Rector of St David's Church, Cranbury, in the Diocese of New Jersey, has been appointed Rector of the benefices of St Agnes, North Reddish; St Mary, Reddish; and St Elisabeth, Reddish, to be held in plurality.
The Revd Michael Read, currently Team Rector in the Heatons Benefice has been appointed Vicar of Briercliffe and Worsthorne in the Diocese of Blackburn.
The Revd Dr Gill Smart, currently Curate (OLM) in the benefice of Horwich and Rivington, will retire on 26th May 2025.
The Revd Peter Matthews has been appointed as Acting Area Dean of Manchester South and Stretford, this is in addition to his current role of Incumbent of St John the Evangelist, Old Trafford and St Bride, Old Trafford.
The Revd Rob Jackson has been appointed as Acting Area Dean of Salford and Leigh, this is in addition to his current role of Incumbent of St John the Baptist, Irlam and St Mary the Virgin, Cadishead.
The Revd Simon Cook has been appointed as Acting Archdeacon of Salford and Bolton. This is in addition to his current role of Area Dean of Bolton.
The Revd Rebecca Mathew has been appointed Assistant Chaplain at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
The Ven David Sharples has been appointed Bishop's Advisor on Spirituality.
The Revd Michaila Roberts, currently Curate in the benefice of Atherton and Hindsford with Howe Bridge, has been appointed to the post of Hulme Lecturer and Assistant Curate, to be known as Associate Vicar, in the benefice of St Peter with St Philip, Bolton-le-Moors.
The Revd Sylvia Barron, currently Curate (SSM) in the benefice of St Clements and Oakenrod, St George will retire on 17th April 2025. She has been granted PTO from the same date.
