Parish administration

In this section, you can find resources to help your parish keep on top of the various administrative tasks that it needs to fulfil.

  • Annual Meetings - Every year, two meetings have to take place no later than 31 May: The Annual Meeting of Parishioners and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM).

  • Electoral Roll - The electoral roll is the list of names and addresses of a church's membership. Every person listed on the Roll is eligible to attend the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. The roll is renewed every six years.

  • Interregnum - Guidance on how to navigate a parish in vacancy.

  • Licensing new clergy - Orders of service are available here for use in the licensing of chaplains, incumbents, priests-in-charge or team vicars.

  • Data Collection - This page provides a timeline and details about the various data collection tasks that take place throughout the year.

  • Churchwarden admissions forms - Here you can find Churchwarden admission forms for Bolton, Manchester, Rochdale and Salford.

  • Parish Visitations - Every five years the Archdeacon or Area Dean will arrange a Parish Visitation to check that everything is in order.
