Young people in a circle in Tampere
The Diocesan Youth Officer is here to help parishes and youth leaders in their ministry with young people.

The Diocesan Youth Officer is Susie Mapledoram. Susie can help parishes and youth leaders in their ministry with young people, addressing key issues that are important to today’s young people, providing a suite of training opportunities, and organising events and residentials for 11 to 18 year olds.

There are annual confirmation camps to Tampere in Finland and Scargill House in Yorkshire, and a schools' pilgrimage to Taize in France.

The Youth Officer also organises Isonen on the Road, a youth leadership programme in collaboration with our link Diocese of Tampere in Finland. It gives our young leaders the opportunity to explore areas of leadership, develop their gifts and talents, and grow in faith.
