Sing my Soul

Music that stirs the soul …

Sing my Soul is an innovative approach to church growth that aims to reach people through the power of music. The Diocese of Manchester and St-Martin-in-the-Fields, London are working together to bring beautifully inspiring music to four local churches.

Through a unique choral scholarship, aspiring professional singers from the Manchester area will receive intensive training over a twelve-month period from expert choral leaders. During this time, they will also perform free concerts at four host churches offering cultural enrichment and social outreach to their local communities.

Supported by the Church of England's Strategic Development Funding, new community choirs and children's choirs will also be set up, giving everyone with a passion for music the chance to take part.

Music is at the heart of this work; it refreshes and inspires our souls, strengthens our faith and reminds us of our connection to the divine.

Be part of our Choral Scholarships

Choral Scholarships offer a programme of stimulating and educative choral training, performing in churches in the Diocese of Manchester with the music team from St Martin-in-the-Fields, London.

Aimed at choral singers wishing to embark on a professional career in singing, this scholarship provides an opportunity for nine singers to enjoy an intensive, focused period of development alongside others of a similar standard whilst building on a tradition of musical excellence in churches in the city centre and beyond.

The Choral Scholarship programme is led by Andrew Earis, Director of Music at St Martin-in-the-Fields, and Olivia Tait, St Martin’s Choral Conducting Fellow, alongside a range of guest directors and expert choral workshop leaders.
