Bolton West Mission Community recently hosted a successful youth event titled Into the Light.
The seventh Greater Manchester Green Summit took place on Monday at the Lowry, Salford Quays, giving opportunity to see where the region was in terms of meeting its Net Zero 2038 target. The Dean of Manchester, Rogers Govender, took to the stage to talk about the work of Our Faith Our Planet and the important ways in which faith communities can support the wider green ambitions of the city. There were also many practical initiatives that could benefit our local churches and schools.
Martin, who is registered blind, has a background in criminal justice and a passion for supporting those on the margins of society. He wanted to utilise his skills and knowledge to help others, which led to him pursuing pastoral care training through the Authorised Lay Ministry (ALM) programme.
St George’s Church in Dane Bank has been achieving great things thanks to Transformation Programme revitalisation funding, which has enabled them to open a thriving community café.
