This special week enables us to thank God for his generosity to us and to also use it in other ways to have the opportunity to think about how we might respond to that generosity.
‘Beating the Bounds’ is an ancient tradition where parishes walk around their boundaries, praying for and asking God to bless the people and work. We seek to echo this in two ‘pilgrim’ walks, linking all the parishes of the Mission Community.
Ruth Gent, Man Dio Growing Faith Enabler has also been out and about across Manchester South and Stretford Deanery, visiting schools, churches and meeting parents.
St Peter’s Church, Westleigh, has been fitted with a brand-new kitchen for parishioners to enjoy thanks, in part, to Council for Social Aid (CSA) funding.
There’s something special happening in North Manchester; congregations are growing as new communities have been moving into the area.
Situated in Hillock, Whitefield, St Andrew’s is one of many churches that are actively involved in their community. This is especially important during the summer holidays – even more so when the weather isn’t good!
On Saturday 22nd July, church members from South Manchester’s Mission Community 2 joined together in a four-hour prayer walk between their ten parishes.
ALMs are key lay leaders in local churches specialising in various areas of ministry.
The Children Changing Places Project aims to engage children, young people, and families in activity that creates new discipleship pathways and supports the growth of the Christian faith in schools, parishes, and the home.
On Sunday 9th July, Bishop Matthew Porter led a special service to celebrate Reader Ministry in the diocese.
